Cleft & Cranio Foundation of Kenya (CCF-K) was founded on November 26, 2023, by parents of children with cleft and craniofacial conditions. Recognizing the myriad challenges these children and their families face, our founders sought to address needs that go beyond cleft repair, encompassing psychological support, speech therapy, orthodontic care, and essential livelihood supports and research.

Our mission is to provide holistic support to children with cleft and craniofacial conditions and their families, ensuring timely interventions and comprehensive care. This includes providing resources such as specialized feeding bottles, nutritional support, and access to necessary medical treatments. By doing so, we aim to enhance the physical health and emotional well-being of these children, boosting their confidence and helping them lead fulfilling lives.

At CCF-K, we advocate for the rights of these children at both national and county levels, working towards policy changes that provide incentives and support at the grassroots level. We also strive to be a central point of information and support for new parents, helping them navigate the challenges and uncertainties of raising a child with cleft and craniofacial conditions.

Our goal is to complement existing efforts and fill the gaps in care and support, leveraging the unique perspectives and experiences of parents who have faced these challenges firsthand. By partnering with healthcare providers, policymakers, and community organizations, we are committed to creating a supportive network that addresses the multifaceted needs of these children and their families.
